These global players have often gained advantages from the decline of local competition. When local businesses, including those supporting regional languages like Khasi, find it challenging to compete and stay afloat in the face of global competition, economic reliance on these international players can result in economic reliance. Additionally, unethical practices and unsustainable tourism development can harm the environment, disregarding the principles of ecological culture.
