Question: For example, my local store is a shipping hub for stores in a 100 mile radius - meaning those who order from Walmart.com that set their preferred store location within 100 miles of our zip code, that selection is pulled from our shelves. Because of that, it is imperative that sales associates utilize their handheld devices/phones to accurately record current sales floor inventory numbers of goods. By ensuring those counts are correct, online orders do not go unfilled; customers maintain a positive level of experience satisifaction, and there is no lost sales revenue due to out-of-stock items. Additionally, with mailing permits, delivery costs and times are greatly reduced - which saves the company both money and customers.
