The differences between a program research study, community evaluation, and an organization evaluation are the focuses. A program study searches for effectiveness of a program to ensure the promises made by those leading the program are being fulfilled. The community evaluation searches for the effects caused by a program (Krysik, 2018). Organization evaluation looks at the performance of an organization and how it is viewed by the community.

For my field experience, I am going to be using a local agency called the Glove House, which acts as an agency for foster kids here in Elmira, NY. While my focus is mainly in mental health, my secondary goal is to help children as well and I plan on adopting in the future, which means this may be an agency that I will personally use. I believe that I will be viewing this field experience under a community evaluation, as I will be viewing it as a community member as well and seeing how it helps the community and what sort of services it offers.
