Question 1: Looney Tunes (this episode is not a favorite, but I couldn't find legal copies of my favorite episodes to share on YouTube). The older episodes and the Tiny Tunes series from the 90s are my favorites. I find the gags hilarious as long as I don't watch too many in a row (they get repetitive). I also like their use of classical music for effects. Finally, if you didn't know, the fact that one person, Mel Blanc, did all the voices, really impresses me. Some of my favorite episodes are the ones that feature Bugs or Daffy fleeing from Yosemite Sam or Elmer Fudd; I also get a kick from the Foghorn Leghorn and Dog episodes.
Question 2: Batman the Animated Series (this is only a part of one episode; again, I couldn't find legal copies of my favorite episodes to share on YouTube--the series is available on HBO Max). This series, which according to IMDB is one of the top-rated TV series of all time, amazes me in how it can introduce and wrestle with mature/complex themes in older-kid-friendly, 22-minute episodes. Themes include environmentalism, urban poverty, mental illness, drug addiction, dealing with loss, revenge, redemption, human trafficking, and many others. The Joker episodes are also funny (Mark Hamill, aka Luke Skywalker, does the voice of the Joker), and this series is where the character of Harley Quinn was first introduced. Some of my favorites are the episodes that feature the backstory of the villains (Two-Face is especially well done) and the episode that features a gangster and a priest ("It's Never Too Late").
