Case: You are the manager of a team of 10. Your team uses a shared leadership model. You have been working with this team for 4 years. At first it was a difficult group to manage, but lately things have been going well. Your team has a mix of personalities and work styles, so that creates some challenges. The team is diverse, and each member has their own area of specialty. Some members get along very well with others, and some relationships are polite but strained. There isn't one person who is a problem, but certain situations can lead to conflict. You are happy with how the team has been performing in the last six months. It seems the team dynamic is mostly stable and tasks are being completed. Due to the nature of the work, your team works closely together. Each member has a distinct role, but the tasks overlap. This requires frequent communication and collaboration with yourself and the team members. Your team generally meets all of the deadlines, although there can be some errors and delays. Overall, the team is enjoyable to work with, although they aren't a high performing team, yet. As the manager, you want the team to improve their performance.
