Question: Orson Welles claimed that Stagecoach was the perfect textbook of filmmaking and supposedly watched it forty times during the making of Citizen Kane. At first the movies don't seem to have much in common-so, what's different? (This is the easy question.) But then, what might they have in common-or at least, what do you think Welles learned from, or saw in, Stagecoach that he wanted to emulate?
