Think about the two modes of thought Bruner outlines (logo-scientific/paradigmatic vs. narrative) and their purposes. What mode of thought might be more appropriate for this course, or for discussing music in general? Why might that be?
Bruner lists three parts of the "fabula": the characters, a plight, and consciousness of the plight by the characters. How might you use this as a lens to view your own meaning making in music?
