Question: It is early June, 2021. You are a Project Manager working for a big retailing company in Canada. Due to the recent events related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company decided to launch a completely new website for online sales. The website will use the latest technology; it will be integrated with the company's existing ERP (enterprise resource planning) system and CRM (customer relationship management) system. The business case has been approved and you are the lucky Project Manager who has been allocated to lead this high-profile initiative. For this initiative, you will report to the Vice President of Online Distribution, who reports to a Steering Committee composed of top Executives. You receive the business case that had been approved by the CEO of the company and you find out that you have to launch the website on August 1, 2021, with a budget of $200,000. You have practically 7 weeks to successfully launch the website. You have to move quickly!
