The leadership topic is effective feedback and how to produce a culture or system that encourages honest feedback from followers. Often people following don't want to honestly give direct feedback to a leader, possibly because they see the leader as being unapproachable, and therefore, they fear retribution. Real conversations may be had with peers, but the same dialogue or openness might not be had with a leader.

What are ways to encourage good honest feedback between the leader and the team members, especially when the employees see the leader as unapproachable?

It is not uncommon for people to put in long hours and engage in physical and mental demands that cause turnover and burnout. It can be argued that many of us can relate to the struggle as an employee and as a leader. We all have heard of time management and techniques in doing so, but due to the changing world, the way we energize our workforce and sustain employees' energy to be high performers may be essential to learn as leaders.
