Case Study: For this final project, you will assume the role of an employee who has been working for a company for over 10 years and has had above-average job performance evaluations during that period. As Covid struck - all employees were instructed to work from home and utilized various meeting platforms to work collaboratively on projects, conduct meetings, and just simply check in with the boss. Now, the company is asking that employees, without good cause, should return to full-time in-person work. The company is willing to consider applications from employees to continue working from home for a longer period but not indefinitely, or to work a hybrid method combining some office time with remote work.

Over the past two years during the height of covid, your mother or father (your choice) has moved in with your and is battling several severe medical conditions requiring home care. They are not at the stage where you would have to put them into a nursing home, nor do they need nursing care - but they do need to have someone around to help with meals and doctor's appointments. You are contemplating submitting the application for either longer at-home work or the hybrid option.

This case revolves around attempting to find a balance between work and life. How would you approach this issue if you were the employee? If you were the manager?
