Assignment: Career Paper
Write a 4-6-page, double-spaced (11 or 12 font) reflective paper on your career goals and aspirations. This requires at least 8 total sources, including 3-4 interviews with industry professionals (preferably in-person interviews, but telephone or email is acceptable).
The career paper should be part reflective about your career goals and then how you plan on achieving them. Intersperse quotes from your interviews into the paper - ask your sources about their careers, advice/tips they can give, etc.
You will need a bibliography (papers without will be an automatic F, or 50). You need to include human sources as well as other trade and academic publications. The paper is due by noon on May 1.
Make the paper personal (your ultimate career goal and path to get you there) - this is information-seeking and also a way to help you self-motivate and actualize your goals and passions!
Paper grades will be based on quality/quantity of interviews/sources; clear writing that is free of grammatical errors/typos; logical structure and organization; effective use of quotes.

How secure are positions in your field? What is the growth and promotional potential? What advice do you have for someone preparing for this field (courses, activities, experience)?
