Question
Family 1
13 year old daughter and her father (52yrs) were in a car accident 4 days ago now. She has broken her leg and right wrist, surgery has been completed and cast placed. Her father ruptured his spleen and also underwent a surgical repair procedure. They have just been discharged from hospital, however still need care. My daughter has a dressing that needs to be changed once daily and her father has a jp (Jackson Pratt) drain as well as a dressing that I am unable to manage. I am able to drive them so I do not necessarily need a nurse to come to my home but is there a doctor's office I can bring them to so we can get them proper care...or a homecare agency that can come to us?
please answer the questions below....
Agency recommended:
What services can you offer to my family that can help?
How do I get access to these services? Do I need a referral, prescription?
Do I need to pay for these services? If so how much?
Who is it that will provide me with the assistance needed? Who is employed at these agencies?
Where is this agency located? How do I find them?

I am a sex trade worker in Oshawa and recently went to the ER for a UTI and discovered I have Hep C! I have been using injection drugs for 4 years and live with roommates who I am concerned about now getting my disease. I am not ready to quit but wondering if there are any programs to support sex trade workers and/or injection drug users to assist in staying healthy (while continuing to use for now) and decrease the spread of any diseases....please help.

I have twin 5 year old boys with autism and have just moved from Windsor to Whitby and am looking for services in our area to connect them with our community and other kids. They are both function at very different levels and I am having a hard time getting them into regular community programs at the library or play centers. I would love if we/they could connect with other families and children that have autism or unique abilities. Looking for a place for them to fit in and feel comfortable. I have a daughter (38yrs) with MS who is now in a wheelchair and needing a lot of support with her activities of daily living. She was only diagnosed 3 years ago but it has been a rapid progression and been a huge challenge for me to provide the care she needs. My husband left when she was diagnosed and we don't have a lot of money. I work as a waitress but am having a hard time leaving her for my shifts as she is requiring more help since December. She has expressed she feels lonely and isolated and I feel so badly for her that I just can't seem to manage taking care of her now full time and trying to work to support her needs. I am looking for some sort of day program to help for my daughter while I am at work and am also concerned about her socialization. Please help. (Ps - we live in Ajax)
