This assignment has two purposes: to develop a practice of being an independent learner and to familiarize yourself with materials for clinical learning and how to present them to others. You should spend time exploring a variety of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology resources (such as journals, newsletters, websites, and podcasts) as well as information about annual conferences and symposiums.

Continuing education is required to obtain and renew licensure and certification. For your initial post, develop a continuing education plan. Identify the actions you will take over the next one to two years and write a summary of your plan that includes weekly, monthly, and annual resources. Resources you will use weekly or monthly can include subscriptions, online readings, and such. Resources you will take advantage of annually might include conferences, classes, and symposiums.

Include resources that will meet a variety of learning needs, guide clinical decision-making at point of care, provide current information on new drugs or new safety information, and deepen your understanding of selected topics. Include links, which will count as the references for this discussion.
