Case study:
Leckie's Choice (LC) began as a small business 20 years ago and has grown to have multiple store locations throughout Victoria.
Currently, LC is a distributor, wholesaler and retailer of residential and industrial electrical equipment, supplies and services. The company also provides installation and services in areas such as energy management, solar systems, home automation, surveillance systems and data and communication equipment.
Leckie's Choice has now created an online platform, for its customers to shop online, which has a number of new features that facilitate customers to shop efficiently.
Task;
In this task, you will create a mockup for a weekly sales report of Leckie's Choice case study.
The weekly sales report should portray the following specifications:
• Report header
• Report footer
• Page header
• Page footer
• Grouping of control fields
• Group footer
Then each topic in the report should provide detail fields as described below:
• Report header should have date and report title
• Page header will display the name of the column/ fields for which detail report is being produced such as: branch name, product name, quantity sold/week, price/qty, total price (branch name should be used as a control field for grouping of field)
• A subtotal of weekly sale will be displayed of each branch in the group footer.
• Total sale of all branches should be displayed in the report footer.
• After the total sale value, a bar graph will be displayed that shows the weekly total sale of each branch.
• Page footer will display page number and date prepared.
Your mockup report should clearly show each of the required field, elements, headers and footers. Use control break for grouping.
Your report mockup must be attractive/realistic-looking and professional which should display the correct requirements also.
Use appropriate organization, elements and suitable styling format - e.g. font, colour, etc. to make it easy for eye to follow the lines in the report which can be read easily by the managers of the company.
Use appropriate colour that soothes eye and emphasizes the logical organization of report elements. Avoid the colour that may degrade the different displays. Avoid making a crowded report mockup.
