Research the Caldecott and Newbery awards.

Select and read one book honored by each of the awards (two books total).

Develop a book trailer for these two books. You can create one trailer for the Caldecott book and one for the Newberry, or you can create one trailer that has both books in it.

Write the book trailer script

Include the following elements in the book trailer:

A hook to get listeners or viewers interested in the award-winning books

The title of the books, authors' names, and illustrators, if any

Background on the awards and reasons why each book is deserving of the award

Genre of each book and characteristics of the book that place it within the genre

Synopsis of each book

The audience and/or scenario to select this particular book

An ending teaser so listeners or viewers will want to pick up the books and read them

Note: The book trailers should be between 3 and 4 minutes in length.
