You have been given a budget of $250,000 to help the manufacturing organization move to a more remote workforce, increase accountability for the remote workers, and implement an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. This solution should increase ethics and align with business considerations.

The Problem:

• Time Management: While in the office, the direct managers and supervisors were able to physically see their staff daily and keep track of which partners they were sending their time on. In the remote workforce, there is no way for this to continue and managers need a way for the individual employee to track their own times and correlate this time with which partner they are working for within the day. This needs to be broken down to15-minute intervals.
• Computing Devices: The switch to a remote workforce happened suddenly without much to any time for planning or organization. Most of the workers in the organization had desktop devices, with two monitors, etc. Only a few already had issued laptops, and some others who did not have the chance to collect their desktop devices, are using their personally owned devices for work.
• Telephony: A locally controlled Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) communication system is in place at the office location. However, since the move to the remote workforce, the remote staff have resorted to forwarding their desk phones to their personal mobile phones and expensing their individual phone bills.

Core Deliverables:

• Time Management: Research and implement an ERP solution that will include time tracking for the remote staff.
• Computing Devices: The remote staff need a business solution at their remote office locations. This should include a laptop computer, external monitors, keyboards, mice, headset, and docking stations.
• Telephony: Switch the existing VOIP solution to a cloud-based PBX solution that includes softphone technology that can be installed on the remote laptops.
