Question
A Relational Database Management System, known as RDBMS, is a structure in software that manages data that is stored in the database. In RDBMS, information is stored in tables (also known as relations) that are composed of rows and columns. Each row is a single record, and each column is some information about the data. One of the most significant characteristics of RDBMS is Structured Query Language (SQL), which is used for querying, updating, and management for the data to be arranged. RDBMSs provide data integrity, normalisation, and table relationships via primary and foreign keys. They are a perfect fit for the use cases, where data consistency and structured querying are essential, an example is banking applications systems, enterprise applications systems, and online shopping portals, where our open commerce search application is available. Popular RDBMS examples include Oracle Database, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server. While RDBMs have played a central role in data management, they are not easily scalable and can be very slow in processing enormous amounts of unstructured or semi-structured big data, which is where the modern NoSQL and distributed data systems come in to help Reference: Elmasri, R., and Navathe, S.
