Case Study:Project Selection

Bio-World is a company specialized in providing healthcare services, in the UAE, such as gathering and producing databases (about people health, diet and lifestyle) for health organizations such as hospitals or health administrations. Bio-World also wants to be the leader in providing high-tech device that once connected to a smartphone will provide a remote diagnosis and treatment follow-up for patients with chronic conditions such diabetes and hypertension (bymeasuring instantaneously thenanalyzing their biometric data).

You are part of the company planning and execution of its strategic program. Your mission is to help the company in selecting the projects that align the best with its strategy and orientation.

Note that your answers should be as much as possible related to the case above and to the direction provided with each question.

Question 1. From the information above, and if you were asked to select one project among many, propose four different criteria that you can use in the selection process and that strongly reflect the strategic goal of Bio-World company.

Question 2. Given the current outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), propose four different projects that are related to the company activities and that can bring positive change to the UAE during this pandemic situation.

Question 3. Using the proposed criteria, apply the multi-weighted scoring model to help the company in selecting one project among the four proposed ones.

Question 4. Based on the selected project, in the previous question, outline four tasks to be done during the closure stage of this project.
