Topic: As part of your research for your paper, you must choose a criminal from the list provided. Research this individual using various sources. Your paper should provide but not be limited to the following:

• The crime committed
• The facts concerning the individual (family composition, educational background, etc.)
• What population did he/she target?
• How the theories we have covered or will cover (Rational Choice Theory, Trait Theories, Social Structure Theories, etc) apply to this particular individual
• What do you feel, if anything,could have been done to prevent the criminal from their life of crime?

Requirements of the paper:

• Paper must be in APA format (instructions and sample provided)
• Paper must be 5-7 pages, Times New Roman font, 12 point, double spaced, 1 inch margins on the top and bottom and 1.25 margins on both sides (Cover and Bibliography, References, Citation pages DO NOT count toward the number of pages)
• Cover page should include your name, date, class title (LA240-44) and your Professor's name

Special Note:

• This paper is not intended to be a biography of the criminal. Information regarding the criminal and their crime should not be more than 2 pages. Although the criminal's background is relevant to their actions it should not be the entire focus of the paper. Be sure to include anything applicable to the theories you have chosen as it relates to "your criminal" of choice. This assignment is designed to ensure that you have a complete understanding of the theories studied during the course.
