Focus of Report
Recently, several countries have deployed contract tracing apps as part of their strategy for managing the spread of Covid-19. You are to produce a report focusing on the following:
• Ethical issues regarding the degree of intrusion into daily life of contact tracing apps (due to their design and functionality).
• Ethical issues regarding the use and storage of the data collected by the apps including; the potential for data analytics; what it can be used for in the future, who has access to it and for how long will it be kept.
Your report should have particular consideration of the use and abuse of medical and personal data and the effect of this use and abuse on an individual. You can focus on any relevant ‘track and trace' app (or apps) based on your own research.
Content of Report
The report should contain the following content and make use of a formal report structure including use of suitable references and language:
