IMAGINARY WORLD PROJECT
PROTOTYPE
PAPER PROTOTYPE (Assignment 3) with Slideshow:
Using the "Pitch Bible" format, each student will produce as detailed as reasonable overview of the imaginary world that has been built for the purpose of setting stories within it.
Beyond the information that corresponds to the Pitch Bible, I do expect you to hand in any notes, sketches, maps, glossaries, and any other developmental material that accompanies and/or represents the process of creating the Prototype.
A summary slideshow is still required but we will not present in class this time around.
WORKSHEETS
Students are expected to work with Worksheets 1-5 throughout the course and fill them out in as much detail as reasonable as preparation for building the imaginary world prototype. Information collected in the Worksheets can be handed in separately or may be integrated into a "master" document that constitutes the "prototype."
Worksheet 6 is extra credit and will be added onto this assignment total.
PLOT OUTLINES
Each student will articulate two distinct story ideas to be set in the imaginary world that has been created for the Prototype and produce two PLOT OUTLINES, one for each of these story ideas.
Approximate amount of writing might reasonably be something like 400-500 words per half hour duration / game mission; or 750-1000 words per book concept. Total word count varies but typically runs between 5000-10000 words (compile all material into an organized, sequential format, like a book. Use the Pitch Bible format as possible guidelines / table of contents for that organization.
