Question: The average weekly earnings for full-time-equivalent employees are reported to be USD 1,000.  Suppose you want to check this claim since you believe it is high.  You want to prove that average weekly earnings of all employees are lower than the amount stated.  You collect a random sample of 81 employees in all areas & find that the sample mean is USD 961 & the sample standard deviation is USD 110. Can you disprove the claim at the α = .05 level?
