You will be asked to present a Legislative Monitoring and Assessment for your first Assignment. Although it is early in the course, it is time to choose a topic. Assignment

Examine an emerging issue that involves a new* piece of legislation, regulation, or administrative policy (either federally or provincially), or an amendment to an existing piece of legislation or regulation, and report back to the class in the following two methods:

1. Presentation - Prepare and record a 10 - 15 minute audio presentation outlining:

What the issue/change is
The history of the change
How the issue/change will impact payroll
What the impact will be to the organization, including how it is to be implemented
2. Report - Prepare a one to two page summary of the impact of the issue/change and provide at least two external references.
