Project Overview


This workplace assessment requires you to contribute to the planning, development and coordination a of performance development program for an organisation or work area.

This assessment is divided into eight tasks:

Task 1: Prepare an Organisational Performance Development Plan
Task 2: Consult With Key Stakeholders on OPD Plan
Task 3: Develop OPD Program Tools and Resources
Task 4: Establish OPD Procedures and Requirements
Task 5: Ensure Development of Personal Growth Plans
Task 6: Address Cultural Differences and Diversity Issues in OPD Communication
Task 7: Monitor Organisational Performance Development
Task 8: Evaluate Organisational Performance Development Program
You are required to complete the assessment tasks in a real workplace, or in a simulated environment where the conditions are typical of those in a working environment in this industry.

Task 1: Prepare an Organisational Performance Development Plan

This task will require you to prepare at least one Organisational Performance Development (OPD) Plan for your organisation.
Use your workplace/organisation's template to complete this task, or use the Organisational Performance Development Plan template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.

To complete this task, you must:
Access and review at least three sources that contain information about your organisation's performance
Determine the following information about an organisational performance development program based on the information reviewed:
At least two issues in the organisation's performance
At least two benefits
At least one need
At least two purposes
At least two objectives
At least two expected outcomes
Develop the following based on the information determined for your OPD plan:
At least two management structures
At least two support structures
At least one of each of the following requirements for program development:
OPD program modes
OPD program methods
At least one of each of the following requirements related to outcomes:
Methods to report outcomes
Resources to report outcomes
Means to report outcomes
Means to collate outcomes
Develop an OPD plan using information from this task.

Use the Organisational Performance Development Plan template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.

Task 2: Consult With Key Stakeholders on OPD Plan

Your assessor will observe you as you present the OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 1 to at least two relevant stakeholders.
Relevant stakeholders include:
External stakeholders such as Fair work specialists and industry bodies
Internal stakeholders such as colleagues, human resource officers, senior management, team leaders and work health and safety officers.
Before starting this task, you must access and review the OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 1.
You will be assessed on your practical skills to:
Consult with at least two relevant stakeholders to get feedback on the OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 1.
Use appropriate language to provide information and encourage discussions.
Apply the following to check and confirm understanding:
Listening techniques
Questioning techniques
Submit the updated OPD plan to your assessor.

Task 3: Develop OPD Program Tools and Resources

This task will require you to develop tools and resources according to organisational performance development program modes and methods to support the OPD plan updated in Workplace Assessment Task 2.
Use your workplace/organisation's template to complete this task, or use the OPD Program Tools and Resources template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.
To complete this task, you must:
Access and review the updated OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 2 for information on the following:
Expected outcomes
Requirements for program development
Access at least one digital tool used to store and organise information relevant to OPD.
Identify the following materials that will be used to implement the updated OPD plan based on the reviewed information:
At least two tools
At least two resources
Develop each identified material according to the requirements of OPD program development.
Use the identified digital tool to store and organise the materials developed.
Document the developed materials in the OPD Program Tools and Resources file. The file must include all developed materials as annexures.
Notify relevant stakeholders about the developed tools and resources.

Use the OPD Program Tools and Resources template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.
Submit the completed OPD Program Tools and Resources, including the annexures, to your assessor.
You must also submit evidence of:
Using a digital tool to store and organise the materials developed. This must include at least one of the following:
Screenshots that show digital tool used
Soft copies of tools and resources developed
Notifying relevant stakeholders about the developed tools and resources. This evidence must be at least one of the following:
Email correspondence
Meeting minutes
Video recording of the meeting conducted with relevant stakeholders
When using this as evidence, ensure to inform the stakeholders of the purpose of the recording before doing so.

Task 4: Establish OPD Procedures and Requirements

This task will require you to prepare and establish at least two OPD Procedures and Requirements to support the updated OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 2.
Use your workplace/organisation's template to complete this task, or use the OPD Procedures and Requirements template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.
To complete this task, you must:
Access and review the following:
Updated OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 2.
List of existing OPD policies and procedures
Legislations and regulations relevant to OPD
Documents and/or sources containing information on approval authority
of policies developed in your organisation.

Identify at least two areas where policies and procedures must be established based on the information reviewed.
Develop at least one policy to support the OPD plan in each identified area.
Identify the following relevant to each policy:
At least one role that is needed
At least four requirements for each identified role, including:
At least two responsibilities
At least two accountabilities
Develop at least one procedure that will guide each identified role in implementing the developed policy.
Determine at least one requirement for each role to implement the corresponding procedure.
Identify at least four requirements relevant to the results of implementation, including:
At least two record-keeping requirements
At least two reporting requirements

Task 5: Ensure Development of Personal Growth Plans

Your assessor will observe you as you ensure that at least two relevant stakeholders develop personal growth plans.
Before starting this task, you must:
Access and review the following:
Updated OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 2.
Policies and procedures developed in Workplace Assessment Task 4 for information relevant to conducting performance reviews.
Use at least one digital tool to access the policies and procedures developed.
Organisational documents/sources of information containing information about the performance of stakeholders in the organisation.
Identify at least two relevant stakeholders that require personal growth. You will be assessed on your practical skills to:
Conduct a meeting with at least two relevant stakeholders to ensure each stakeholder developed a plan for personal growth.
Use appropriate language to provide information and encourage discussions.
Apply the following to check and confirm understanding:
Listening techniques
Questioning techniques
Review Workplace Assessment Task 5 - Observation Form before starting this task. This form outlines all the practical skills you need to demonstrate to satisfactorily complete this task. Your assessor will also discuss with you the practical skills outlined in this form prior to the assessment.
Submit evidence of using a digital tool to access the policies and procedures developed to your assessor. Evidence must include at least one of the following:
Screenshots that show the digital tool used
Screenshots that show highlighted portions in a policy
Soft copies of policies and procedures developed
You must also submit the following as supplementary evidence:
At least one personal growth plan for each identified stakeholder
Organisational documents/sources of information containing information about each identified stakeholder's performance

Task 6: Address Cultural Differences and Diversity Issues in OPD Communication

This task will require you to prepare an OPD Communication Plan to address cultural differences and diversity issues in OPD communication based on feedback from at least two relevant stakeholders.
Relevant stakeholders must:
Be diverse
Come from different cultures
Be a part of the OPD program.
Use your workplace/organisation's template to complete this task, or use the OPD Communication Plan template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.
To complete this task, you must:
Access and review the following:
OPD program tools and resources developed in Workplace Assessment Task 3.
OPD procedures and requirements developed in Workplace Assessment Task 4.
Organisational policies and procedures for OPD communication.
Identify at least two relevant stakeholders that can provide feedback related to the following for OPD communication:
Cultural differences
Diversity issues
Conduct a meeting with identified stakeholders. During the meeting:
Show the OPD materials and procedures developed.
Seek feedback to identify at least one issue related to each of the following:
Cultural differences
Diversity
Discuss methods to address each identified issue

Determine at least four cultural differences and diversity issues raised by relevant stakeholders. This must include:
At least two cultural differences
At least two diversity issues
Revise the items shown to relevant stakeholders to address all issues that are raised.
Document the issues raised in the OPD Communication Plan for future use. Use the OPD Communication Plan template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.
Submit the completed OPD Communication Plan to your assessor. Include any supplementary documents/sources used to create the OPD Communication Plan, such as the organisational policies and procedures for OPD communication.
You must also submit the following:
Evidence of conducting meeting to identify cultural difference and diversity issue. Evidence must be at least one of the following:
Email correspondence
Meeting minutes
Video recording of the meeting where OPD evaluation report was presented
When using this as evidence, ensure to inform the meeting participants of the purpose of the recording before doing so.
Evidence of addressing cultural differences and diversity issues in OPD communication, including:
Revised OPD program tools and resources
Revised OPD procedures and requirements

Task 7: Monitor Organisational Performance Development

This task will require you to monitor organisational performance development according to the updated OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 2.
Use your workplace/organisation's template to complete this task, or use the Monitoring Report template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.
To complete this task, you must:
Access and review the following:
Updated OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 2 for information on reporting tools
Organisational procedures developed in Workplace Assessment Task 4 for activities for implementation in the OPD program
Organisational policies and procedures for monitoring OPD
Collect data on the implementation of the OPD program using the reporting tools reviewed.
Monitor OPD on at least two instances.
Complete the monitoring report based on your findings.
Use the Monitoring Report template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.
Submit completed monitoring reports for at least two instances of monitoring to your assessor. Include any supplementary documents/sources used to create the monitoring reports, such as organisational policies and procedures for monitoring OPD.

Task 8: Evaluate Organisational Performance Development Program

This task will require you to evaluate the implementation of the OPD plan developed in
Workplace Assessment Task 2 and prepare at least one OPD evaluation report. Use the OPD Evaluation Report template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.
To complete this task, you must:
Access and review the following:
Updated OPD plan prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 2.
Policies and procedures developed in Workplace Assessment Task 4, for information on the record-keeping and reporting requirements.
Monitoring report prepared in Workplace Assessment Task 7.
Documents that include the required format for creating an OPD evaluation report
Evaluate the implementation of the OPD plan against expected outcomes.
Report results of evaluation through relevant management structures.
Identify at least two improvement opportunities for the OPD program.
Document all the information in the OPD Evaluation Report.
Review the template you will use to complete this task. Use the OPD Evaluation Report
template provided at the Bounce Fitness site.
Submit the completed OPD Evaluation Report to your assessor. Include any supplementary documents/sources used to create the OPD Evaluation Report such as documents that include the format for creating the OPD evaluation report.
You must also submit evidence of reporting the results of evaluation through relevant management structure.
Evidence must be at least one of the following:
Email correspondence
Meeting minutes
Video recording of the meeting where OPD evaluation report was presented
When using this as evidence, ensure to inform the meeting participants of the purpose of the recording before doing so.
