Find the maximum height of arrow using given function.

Give complete solutions for the following. An arrow is fired into the air.  The height h of the arrow, in meters, at any time t, in seconds, is given by h = 51.3t + 1.6 - 4.9t2.

i) Construct a table of values and graph the function.

ii) Using your graph or table of values, answer the following questions:

  • What is the maximum height reached by the arrow?
  • When does the arrow strike the ground?
  • When is the arrow at a height of 100 M?

iii) Using algebraic methods, answer the following questions:
