By description, mass media implies communication within a technological infrastructure. From film to radio to television to the Internet, mass communication has turn into a central part of our daily existence, so much so that we have to keep up with communication technologies for our personal and professional success.
Not too long ago it was simple to separate mass media from the rest of our lives. We would watch television programs when they aired, we would go to movies in theaters, and we would read the news in the evening paper. And there we would be bare to political messages and advertisements, other forms of mass persuasion. Now the whole thing has changed. We are always connected. We watch programs when we want, we travel with movies on our tablets, and we get the latest news through social media.
