I. On July 10th, Penny texted her friend Leonard and offered to sell him her used cellphone for $65. Leonard texted back that he was not interested. A week later, Leonard called Penny and said he was now ready to buy the phone for $65. Penny refused to sell the phone. Leonard told her he would sue her for breach of contract. Does Leonard have a valid argument by which to win his case? Why or why not?

II.On July 10th, Sheldon texted his friend Amy and offered to sell her his used cellphone for $65. Amy texted back that she would think about it, but also asked if he would consider selling it for $50. Sheldon said the price remained at $65. A few minutes later, Amy texted back and said she would buy it for the original $65 price. Can Amy still accept the $65 offer? Why or why not?

III.On July 10th, Bernadette texted her friend Howard and offered to sell him her used cellphone for $65. Howard texted back that he would buy it for $50. Bernadette said she would not sell it for $50. A few days later, Howard texted Bernadette back and said he would buy it for $55. Bernadette said she would not sell it for $55. Howard finally said he would buy it for her original $65 offer. Can Howard still accept that original $65 offer? Why or why not?
