Yes, this class was very helpful to improve the quality of my research paper. After received a feedback on my research paper, finally understand why I didn't received A grade on my previews research papers.
2. What surface level problems do you have?
One of the problem I found during this course was writing the right format of "References". I just realized that I was using wrong order until now; last name, date, title, source, retrieve from.
3. What deep level problems do you have?
Writing a thesis statement, focus on the topic, flow of sentences or paragraph are challenges when I write a research papers. Especially, when research paper is more than 10 pages to write, I easily go off the topic.
4. Based on the feedback, what are your major weaknesses as a writer?
I believe, I am not a good writer. As I mentioned above, writing a thesis statement, sentence structure, stay on topic and flow of paragraph are weaknesses as a writer. However, my major weakness as a writer is grammatical error.
5. Which step of the writing process will help you overcome this weakness?
I understand the only way to improve the writing skill is practice. Continuously practice on writing and revise from myself and other will help improve my writing skill.
6. Based on the feedback, what are your major strengths?
Based on the feedback, there is no comments on strength. However, I believe one of my major strength is detail comparison on given topic. Most of my argument was supported using relevant resources.
7. What part of your writing process relates to this strength?
Beginning of writing process is my strength part of writing, setting the outline, constructing the flow of assignment and find the relevant resources that require.
8. What can you do in the future to improve your strength?
As I mentioned in above, only practice can be improve my writing skill. However, research assignment is require a lots of information and reading. If I better understand or have knowledge of the topic will deliver better paper.
9. In which way was this course most helpful to you?
In this course, most helpful part was understand my weakness. I believe only way to get stronger or better is by overcome my weakness. Throughout the course I was able to find my weakness to overcome.
10. Will you use the Online Writing Center's OTS service in the future? Why or why not?
Yes. I will utilized the Online Writing Center services for future references. It help me to find my mistakes and support my writing skill. I believe utilizing the Online Writing Center will support me to receive grade A.
