One of the areas you mentioned in your analysis was on communicating changes to the organization during the plant implementation phase. It is this area that I would like to offer an opinion and leverage some of my experience on. I continue to find myself fascinated with human behavior related to change management. It is also a class that I teach internally at my company to help managers understand the different levels of resistance and offer them tools to speed up the change acceptance process. It is a serious mistake for organizations to underestimate the importance of effectively supporting and communicating changes in the organization. Poor process adoption is typically the result of associates either not understanding the changes or not being aware of the value, or importance, of the changes. It is for this reason that I strongly encourage that the communication be thorough and effective is long lasting sustainable changes are to be realized. QUESTION What are some of the dangers of poorly communicating process changes in organizations?
