Needs assessment for training

You then tell your boss that you would like to conduct a needs assessment. He tells you that this training is really great and the assessment can be skipped. Explain to your boss why a needs assessment should be done. Be sure to explain the benefits of a needs assessment. Also be sure to explain what are some possible consequences of not conducting a needs assessment. Consider reasons why this training might not be for everyone. How does having one unsuccessful training program impact the acceptance of future training and development efforts.
