Leadership is about getting people to comprehend and believe in the vision you set for the company and to work with you on achieving your goals, while management is more about administering and making sure the day-to-day activities are happening as they should. If nurses believe in a leader or their supervisor, they are willing to work for her/him and get things done. They don't have to like management and the things they do to them (i.e. no raises) but a good leader can still rally employees to work despite all the management issues.
