Please help me make a speech.

Instruction: For this presentation, you will choose a piece (poetry, or lyrics to a song). You will then "cut" the piece down to 3-5 minutes and perform that piece in front of the class to the best of your abilities. An introduction will accompany the piece. You will turn in a typed out version of your introduction via Canvas before you perform the piece. The entire performance, with the introduction, should be 3-5 minutes in length.

Criteria:

Introduction must include a synopsis of the piece that you chose, a "meaning" statement, background on the author and/or context in which the piece was published, and any other information pertinent to understanding why you chose this particular piece.

Performance must be original, creative, and bring illustrative life to the words.
