Assume you are a part of an HR department team preparing for a downsizing event (i.e. pick a real-world case as your example, and imagine that you are a part of the HR department team). The following link has been provided to suggest some options, although this does not need to be used as the only source for ideas:

Once you have selected your real-world example:

Identify the changing environment and conditions that have led management to decide on downsizing the workforce.
For each of the three downsizing approaches discuss: whether, why, and when they were adopted in the example case selected.
To support the selected downsizing approach: (1) identify the ideal future state for the company, and (2) outline some of the main drivers and restraints (i.e. conduct a force field analysis) that will support and resist the needed changes?
