You will analyze this issue and then propose what will need to change in order for social change to take place or be supported regarding this issue.

Make sure to choose a topic where you can provide a deeper, more focused examination and analysis.

Complete the research necessary for you to gain enough of an understanding of the prejudice, discrimination, and social change involved. Remember to keep track of all your sources and provide a reference section, properly cited, with your essay.

Make sure you include all of the following in your essay (include details and analysis):

Provide a brief background of the prejudice and discrimination involved in the issue. How does it manifest itself in our society? Include photos, videos, articles, etc. that provide enough information for the focus of your issue.
Clearly identify the norms that have been a part of the discrimination before the evolution or change and after. What will be the new norm? Use specific details and evidence.
Clearly identify how specific social structures have been a part of the acceptance of this issue within our society's value structure. Be specific in the use of your evidence.
Identify where social change is currently occurring or where it needs to occur with respect to this issue.
Propose how further change will be supported by demonstrating specifically what institutions need to be involved in making change and how they will enact or respond to that change.
Identify one social theory that fits best to describe your explanation of the social change to which you are referring. What is it about this theory and your ideas that fit together well? Provide enough detail to demonstrate your understanding of how this theory relates specifically to the social change you are highlighting.
Provide a section which lists further questions you have about this issue and the related social change.
