You are working as an IT consultant for Nubex Pty Ltd. The Company has assigned you to develop the New Network infrastructure for New Branch of Harbour College located in York Street. New Branch of Harbour College will have 150 Users including Students, Staff and Trainers and runs different courses such as, Diploma of Accounting, Diploma of Leadership and Management, Diploma of IT (networking), Cert IV of IT (networking) and many more.
You are to arrange an appointment with your client and identify their requirements.

Students are to ask appropriate questions and utilise open-ended questioning techniques to identify the business requirements relating to the network setup and administrative requirements. You must lead the conversation, as your client may only answer the questions you ask.

Remember, you are the networking professional, not the client.
Once you know what your client wants to achieve, you are to research ICT Networking options for them, and develop
o A robust ICT Networking Architecture report
o Arrange an appointment with client by email to discuss about their IT requirement
o Identify business specifications & business requirements
o Identify clients' business Problem, Opportunities and Objectives
o Draw a detailed logical and physical network diagram
o Identify appropriate Operating system (Server and Client Computer)
o List of server roles that will be relevant with business requirement
o List of required software and hardware to suit business requirements
o A proposal that
• details the networks impact on the business performance
• evaluates and comments on predicted performance
• considers business growth capacities
• outlines costs (including supplier products)
• outlines support and training requirements
• determine current technical specifications and prices from different vendors
• Business Recommendation
• Sign off for business solution

You need to develop project proposal report and also develop Power point slide to present your proposal to your client, explain how it will work, and gain sign-off. Your client will ask you questions, so you need to understand your proposal. Their questions may be technical, and you need to be able to answer them. Based on the clients' feedback you need to review the proposal and apply where required.
