Case Study: In order to learn to summarize articles, students will complete an annotated bibliography of one research article of their choice. Based on this week's readings, students should choose a scientific, or academic, article related to social work. While the topic may vary because social workers work in varied fields, articles are considered scientific when they have engaged in scientific methods of inquiry. Appropriate articles should include a research question, hypothesis, identification of variables, data collection and analysis and conclusions. Literature reviews are also academic journals and are appropriate for this assignment. They will not include data collection and analysis, as literature reviews discuss the findings from the available literature. An example has been provided to you.

To format the document, begin with the article citation in APA format.

Question 1: Summarize the main arguments of the article and the important findings.

Question 2: Discuss who the article is intended for (i.e. practitioners, teachers, etc.) and note the overall takeaway for the intended reader.
