Assessment: The Reflective Portfolio
Overview
In this assessment you are required to critically reflect on two weekly module topics and complete a reflective portfolio. You will have to reflect on weekly modules 9 and 11 in completing this assessment task. In total, your reflective portfolio will consist of 3 sections, covering your reflection on 2 weekly topics and learning as well as a reflective section on your future career aspirations and skills development. The total word count of the portfolio should be approximately 1500 words, with each section having a word count of approximately 500 words.
This assessment will measure your ability to:
conduct in-depth evaluation of your own experience and learning. Please note this meets a university wide requirement to align to Assurance of Learning (AoL) Competency Goal of ‘Adaptive' #AoL3b Option 10' where the student will reflect upon and analyse personal growth experiences.
address ideas and assertions substantiated through reference to theoretical material and key academic perspectives/views sourced from from academic sources (peer review journal articles within the last 10 years)
present logical and cohesive discussion that provides evidence of critical and analytical thinking.
Learning outcome 1: Identify and analyse the strategic role that HRM plays in a changing business environment and workplace to promote best practice in HR performance.
Learning outcome 2: Describe, analyse, and evaluate key organisational approaches to improving HR outcomes for both the organisation and its employees.
Learning outcome 3: Evaluate and develop socially and sustainable practices to emerging HRM challenges by applying both theoretical and practical knowledge of HRM in real business situations.

When preparing the reflective portfolio, follow the steps and headings recommended below for each of the modules 9 and 11. In other words, the first two sections of your portfolio will consist of the following headings.
