Primary Research

For the primary research, a case study was conducted to explore the impact of nutrition on fertility outcomes. The case study collected data from a diverse group of men and women aged 25-40 who were trying to conceive. The participants were recruited from fertility clinics in various regions and were asked to provide detailed information about their dietary habits, including the consumption of macronutrients and micronutrients. Fertility outcomes, such as time to conception and pregnancy rates, were also recorded.

II. Revise/Improve your Results Section

Choose this option if your results section still needs some work. Here you should continue working on this important part of your final research report. The following tips should be helpful:

Start by identifying 2-5 main findings then develop a topic sentence for each finding.

Make frequent reference to your research in your topic sentences. For example, The survey shows... This research suggests, Through analysis we can see... etc.
Provide details from your research (i.e. survey data; survey quotes; secondary sources not from your literature review) as examples of the finding that you mentioned in your topic sentence.

Do not hesitate to use supporting evidence from both of your methods in the same paragraph. Note that your primary research was already introduced in the methods section and you only need to introduce your secondary research by providing the full name and credentials of the author in an attributive tag. Reference the student example to see what this looks like.
Use your own words and ideas to show how the data, idea or quote illustrates the finding described in the topic sentence.

Make sure that you end the paragraph with your own words/ideas that show your reader how the data illustrates the finding mentioned in the topic sentence.
