For this assignment, you will be allowed to choose the religious identity from the list below that you wish to investigate -- as long as it is a different religion or religious category than the one you are a member of. For instance, you will notice on the list that the three main branches of Christianity are listed separately -- if you are a member of one branch, and want to learn about one of the other branches, that is fine, because they are different categories in the list. However, if you are (for instance) an atheist, you could not research agnosticism, because that is part of the same category on the list -- you would need to choose one of the other entries. If students wish to study a religion not included in the list, they can do so with the instructor's permission.
