Discussion Question 1

As you review the PowerPoint, select the image that you think best represents your own writing process. Start a new thread in this board and respond to the following prompts. Click the Post Reply button to submit your initial post:

• Identify your selected image by briefly describing the image in your own words. Do not identify the slide by slide number.
• Explain why you picked this image to symbolize your writing process.
• Point out at least one advantage to the process that this image symbolizes.
• Point out at least one disadvantage to the process that this image symbolizes.

• Review the ten core concepts for effective writing from Chapter 2 in our textbook. Identify one core concept that is not represented in your current writing process but that you think would help you. Describe the concept and explain how you think using it would improve your writing process.

Your initial post should be at least 200 original words.

Question 2

Module 2 responses. Write a response to two classmates' posts from Module 1. You could write about an alternative interpretation of the image each writer selected. You could write about how something in each writer's discussion was similar to or different from your posting. You could discuss something you learned from each writer's posting. You should NOT simply agree or disagree. Your reply should make it clear that you have read your classmates' posts carefully and are responding thoughtfully to their ideas.

To reply to a peer click the Reply button underneath that peer's initial post. After you've written your response, click the Post Reply button to submit your response.

Each response post should be at least 100 original words (200 words total).
