Planning the Meals and Snacks
The centre is planning the meals and snacks to be provided in the dining area for an event with the children's families invited. As part of planning for the event, the educators of the centre must gather information from families about the food preferences, dislikes, and restrictions of their children. To do this, the centre has decided to conduct a meeting to gather information from the parents.
Two families whose religions have dietary restrictions requested to have halal and kosher food prepared for their children and for themselves as well. They also asked your supervisor if the educators of the centre are available for another meeting so that they can discuss what specific food can be provided.
Your supervisor granted their request and told them that the centre would notify them of the date of the next meeting. Your supervisor also promised the families that they will be informed of the meals and snacks to be served to the children in the centre and that they can always raise any suggestions regarding the food served.
