Imagine you are discussing with your supervisor a meeting she facilitated that did not go as well as expected. In particular, your supervisor faced some of the challenges described in this chapter, including a lack of participation, a low energy level, and negative nonverbal behaviour among some participants who seemed to be distracted with handling personal issues on their mobile phones. Your supervisor has asked that you help her think of ways to more fully engage participants in future meetings and summarize your findings for her.
