You are a junior financial advisor and your manager is asked after a meeting with clients why they did not explain in more detail that they were looking at replacing all their insurance plus increasing the claim period for their income protection and changing superannuation fund providers. They explain to you that by replacing all the insurance cover premium costs will be less, so the clients win. Plus, we win because we get paid commission for all the new policies that we will arrange for them. In frustration they say to you, "in my experience they don't need to know all that information at the first appointment...it would put them off".
