Evaluating Branch Bank Efficiency A large national bank is interested in evaluating the performance of several of its branches. For this purpose, it has collected data for a DEA study (Table).
Three inputs have been selected for the study: personnel hours, operating expenses, and floor space. Three outputs have also been selected; these count the number of transactions in different areas of the bank. In particular, transactions are tracked in Deposits and Capital Transfers, Credit Processing, and Foreign Receipts.
(a) Perform a DEA evaluation for the branches, listing the efficiency for each branch.
(b) For each of the inefficient units, find the reference set.
