ML is 2 weeks postpartum and finds herself not sleeping, worrying constantly about the baby and SIDS. She stays up all night watching her sleep as a precaution. She has scary thoughts during the day that she might accidentally trip while holding the baby, fearful of driving with the baby in the car, and very fearful of anyone else holding the baby. She has even had flashes of images of her suffocating her daughter. She denies any history of mental illness. She denies family history of mental illness. Denies history of and current substance use.
