Question 1) Each student will use the firm agreed by the instructor. You have to post your slides on eCampus by class time.

Question 2) Using the 2 firms assigned, choose one competitor in the same industry. Include one slide presenting the activities of each firm (business segments) and explain how they overlap or differ.

Question 3) Find an industry-specific stock index used to follow your industry and compare the industry performance to the performance of the S&P 500. In addition, compare the stock market performance of the two firms for 2021-2022 (graph with stock prices and P/E ratio).

Question 4) Provide internet links (financial news articles for 2021-2022) to two recent news articles on these two firms and explain how these articles relate to your project's topic.

Question 5) Compute the following ratios for 2019, 2020, and 2021:
a) One liquidity ratio
b) Two asset management ratios
c) Two profitability ratios
d) Two debt ratios
e) Two market value ratios
NOTE: Ratios have to be computed directly from the financial statements (from 10-K or annual report). Please attach the financial statements to your presentation. Numbers and ratios taken from a website (ex: Yahoo Finance or Morningstar) will not be accepted.

Question 6) Discuss the trends from the ratios. Please provide firm-specific information and explanations on the firm's financial performance by referring to sections of the annual report or by including recent business/financial news articles. It is not enough to compare ratios by only mentioning that they are higher or lower than the previous year!

Question 7) Construct the current capital structure of the two firms (proportions of debt, preferred, and common stock used). You cannot use already prepared numbers (show how you computed the capital structure). Compare the two firms.

Question 8) Compute the cost of each source of capital (cost of debt, preferred equity, and common stock). Show your computations.

Question 9) Compute the WACC for each firm. Show your computations and explain differences between the two firms.

Question 10) Prepare 10 slides minimum (including one introduction slide for each of the two companies and a slide for references at the end) and post them on ecampus before deadline.
