Assignment: The Gender of Employees in a Particular Organization

For your first activity you will use the text editor here and just type your responses. All your activities should have your name on it, class name, date, and title of your activity.

Name or pick SIX variables and you must mention the following for each:

(Do not mention any of the ones i have in my lesson notes already, pick your own)

1. Mention if it is a quantitative variable or a qualitative variable and WHY.

2. If the variable is a quantitative variable, say whether it is discrete or continuous and WHY. If it is a qualitative variable, say whether it is either nominal or ordinal and WHY.

Note that in 1 and 2, you must answer the question WHY. If you don't explain why the variable is (for example) nominal, then you will not get full credit.

Here is one of my six examples just to get you started and offer an idea on what needs to be done and turned in:

The distance from my house to LA Mission College:

1. This is a quantitative variable because it is a distance that has a numerical value
2. This being a quantitative variable it is continuous since it is measurable as it can take an infinite number of possibilities (not countable)
