A swimmer is complaining of shoulder pain particularly when her arm is in the overhead position during her swimming stroke. She has been diagnosed as having impingement syndrome. During your evaluation you note that the patient has weakness in her infraspinatus and teres minor muscles. You also notice that their upper back muscles are much weaker compared to their pecs and lats which creates a rounded shoulder posture.
