Part I:

Choose a corporate profile from the website.

I. Examine the corporate profile.

II. Propose a network infrastructure topology for your corporation. Using the corporate profile, build a network diagram that utilizes business class devices as appropriate. Be sure to include a demilitarized zone (DMZ) for your outward-facing servers. For the time being, focus only on the network infrastructure of your main or corporate office.

III. Create a Visio (or equivalent) diagram that illustrates this network infrastructure.

IV. Include a brief description (250 words) of your chosen topology. Include your rationale for your chosen devices and connection choices.

Part II:

The purpose of this homework is to create an overview of the analytics life cycle to be used within the organization you have selected (XS11 Aerospace Engineering) to create an effective decision-making infrastructure for systems management of your proposed solutions. In addition to a written paper, this homework requires students to use MS Visio or similar drawing tool to create a high-level concept drawing of the analytical life cycle based on the required content of the paper.

In a 500 words paper, address the following:

A. List a minimum of eight questions to be answered from various reports and queries.

B. Identify the key performance indicators (KPI) to measure and report for each question.

C. Explain where the data for the KPIs will originate by listing the various databases, data warehouses, data marts, etc. that house the data required for analysis (e.g., financial data, customer data, marketing data, industry trends). Explain their interaction including how data are extracted, modified, and stored. Consider the extraction transformation loading (ETL) concept in your discussion.

D. Describe the dashboard that will be used to represent the data, KPIs, and answers to the proposed questions (e.g., tables, charts, graphs).
