Submit a rough working draft of your self-research annotated outline (5-7 pages) highlighting a us election candidate's strengths and weaknesses and a summary of the key findings you recommend be used to push your candidate's strengths and respond and counter your candidate's weaknesses. The report outline must include basic sourcing but does not need to use the AP citation format.
A complete research "book" explores various topics, but in this case, simply pick a few different things to look into. Items you may want to research include:
1) Investigate your candidate's educational, professional, and personal background
2) Where were they born, who are their parents, and any early factors stand out that might be a strength or weakness?
3) Where did they go to school, and what degrees have they received?
4) What work or professional did they engage in before becoming a politician?
5) Are they married or have children? Are there other things you can find about their life that might arise?
6) Identify your candidate's political background.
7) What other offices have they held?
8) Can you find out whom they have endorsed or worked for that might become an issue?
9) Detect any financial, legal, tax, property, or ethical issues related to your candidate.
10) Can you identify any legal problems they have had?
11) Can you find any issues related to property or investments?
12) Can you find any ethical issues that have arisen?
13) Summarize your candidate's fundraising records and determine potential controversies.
14) What is their record when it comes to fundraising?
15) What have been the primary sources of their donations?
16) Are there any particular donations or industries from which they have taken money stand out?
17) Can you find out to who they have given money?
18) Outline your candidate's policy stance and record on issues of importance.
19) What are the significant issues the person may run on and their record on those issues?
20) Where do they stand on some of the most controversial issues?
21) Can you identify votes that would help or hurt them with particular constituencies?
22) Have their positions earned them the support of opposition from particular constituencies?
23) Are there any other issues that stand out as potential strengths or weaknesses?
24) Explore your Candidate's Social Media presence.
